Duffelmeyer Reading Improvement Clinic

The Duffeleyer Reading Improvement Clinic is a non-profit educational service that is operated by the Department of Curriculum & Instruction within the School of Education. The clinic offers assessment and instruction services for children who struggle with reading and writing. It serves an estimated 100 school-aged children per year in Ames and the surrounding communities. The Clinic offered small group tutoring assistance in reading for children in 1st through 12 grade Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 5:15-6:30 pm. Tutors are all Iowa State School of Education students who are paired with the school children.
